17-03 - Special Victims Bureau to Oversee the Day-To-Day Operations of the eSCAR System



SPECIAL VICTIMS BUREAU TO OVERSEE THE

DAY-TO-DAY OPERATIONS OF THE eSCAR SYSTEM

 

On April 1, 2017, the day-to-day operations of the eSCAR system will be transferred to Special Victims Unit.  The day-to-day operations of the eSCAR system includes, but is not limited to the following tasks:

 

  • Adding users to the system
  • Deactivating users from the system
  • Issues regarding reroutes to the DCFS Hotline
  • Issues regarding forwarding of SCARs
  • Advising users that the system is down
  • Status of a sensitive SCAR clearance
  • Advise on how to proceed with a certain SCAR

 

The process for handling SCARs and investigating SCARs has not changed.
