86-010 Deputy Orientation Tracking System

DEPUTY ORIENTATION TRACKING SYSTEM

The Deputy Orientation Tracking System was developed in June of 1985, in order to provide a method of tracking trainees in the field operations regions. Since that time, it has become evident that only those trainees who experience difficulties in the training program to the extent that they are unable to complete training require continuous tracking. As such, the following procedures will become effective immediately:

  • Upon a trainee's arrival at a field operations station, a Deputy Orientation Program Tracking card (SH-AD 645) shall be initiated.
  • All applicable information shall be entered on the tracking card.
  • The tracking card shall be placed in the deputy's training folder and kept updated throughout the trainee's orientation program.
  • Upon successful completion of the Deputy Orientation Program, the completed tracking card shall remain in the training folder.
  • If a deputy fails the Deputy Orientation Program, the applicable information shall be entered on the card, the card placed into the training folder, and the completed folder sent to the Field Operations Training Unit.
  • All folders of deputies having failed the Deputy Orientation Program shall be available to the stations when the deputy returns to a field operations station.
