All INTERPOL requests for investigation received by this Department shall be forwarded to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau 24-Hour Operations Center.

Sheriff’s Information Bureau (SIB) will assist in disseminating the INTERPOL request to the appropriate LASD Station or law enforcement agency.  SIB will act as the liaison between INTERPOL and the appropriate LASD station or law enforcement agency that receives an INTERPOL request in the Department’s area of responsibility, which includes all of Los Angeles County.  Should the request require expertise not available at the Sheriff’s Information Bureau 24-Hour Operations Center, the SIB on-duty sergeant will contact the appropriate unit for assistance.

Requesting Assistance From INTERPOL

Any unit that needs investigative assistance from an INTERPOL member country shall contact the Sheriff’s Information Bureau 24-Hour Operations Center on-duty sergeant, who is the designated coordinator for such assistance.
