PURPOSE OF ORDER:

 

The purpose of this order is to establish procedures for the use of the visiting area by attorneys and bondsmen on weekends and holidays.

 

SCOPE OF ORDER: 

 

This order shall apply to all personnel assigned to, and/or working at Men’s Central Jail (MCJ).

 

ORDER:

 

Attorneys or bondsmen requesting interviews with inmates on weekends or holidays shall be directed to the visiting area.  Every effort shall be made to expedite these visits.  The watch commander may approve the use of the attorney room if requested in accordance with unit order 5-15-040, “Attorney Room Procedures.”

 

A supply of visiting forms shall be maintained at the visiting desk.  Each attorney or bondsman shall fill out a visiting form as required when using the attorney room.

 

Attorneys or bondsmen shall be directed to visit their clients on row “A” when available. 

 

No documents shall be passed to, or signed by inmates during visiting in the public visiting area.  All signed documentation must be completed Monday-Friday in the attorney visiting area, NO EXCEPTIONS.
