PURPOSE OF ORDER:
The purpose of this order is to establish procedures for disposing used batteries.
SCOPE OF ORDER:
This order applies to all personnel assigned to and working at Pitchess Detention Center (PDC) South Facility.
ORDER:
All used batteries, at the end of life or otherwise, shall be disposed of in accordance with South Facility Unit Order 3-06-060, “Disposition of Hazardous Materials.” There are two collection bins in the South Facility operations office where small batteries can be safely dropped off before they are sent to Facilities Services Bureau (FSB).
