Cases which do not meet the above conditions shall be assigned to Station/Unit detectives and made an active assignment.

Incorrigible juveniles shall be arrested and processed through juvenile court in emergency cases only where it can be shown that they present an immediate danger to themselves or to others.  In these cases, an incorrigible statement shall be immediately made justifying the emergency need for detention.

In all other cases, the parents or guardian shall be directed to contact the local probation office for assistance.
