The Sheriff’s Response Team (SRT) is available for requests from any police department in Mutual Aid Region I, following the below operational guidelines:
Requests shall be approved by the person in charge of the requesting agency;
Requests for the SRT shall follow the same procedures outlined in MPP 5-06/150.00 - Sheriff's Response Team;
Upon receiving a request for the SRT, the EOB SRT Sergeant shall make contact with the requestor to liaison and evaluate the request and planned objectives;
The requesting agency shall maintain incident command; however, the Sheriff’s Department shall maintain complete authority and control over the participation of the SRT (including, but not limited to, tactics, deployment, arrests and disengagement);
Arrests should be affected by the requesting police agency whenever possible.
Consultation between the SRT Commander or EOB SRT Sergeant and the person in charge of the requesting agency or their representative shall occur prior to any SRT deployment.
