Each Station is responsible for the performance of the basic police tasks within its jurisdictional area. Stations which serve contract cities are also responsible for providing the necessary administrative, supervisorial and clerical services required.
Stations perform four basic service functions. These are patrol, traffic, investigation and jail management. The responsibilities in each of these areas are outlined in the following subsections, all of which are supported by internal operations.
