FIELD INTERVIEW CARDS

 

PURPOSE

The purpose of this newsletter is to introduce Department personnel to the updated Field Interview (FI) card.  Department members shall immediately cease using all older versions of FI cards and begin using the updated version.  

BACKGROUND

The new version of the FI card was developed to meet current legal mandates regarding the recording and storing of information related to criminal street gang members.  In addition, the new FI card provides information that is now required for entering subjects into Department databases related to gangs.
